Yes, you can bookmark it and not join.  I have been getting pressured to make a twitter account for work, so I guess this is the extra incentive I needed to do it.

One of my friends from college is Ben Kweller's web admin. and they do a lot of giveaways on twitter and I know a lot of other artists are getting into that, so maybe that will be the surprise.
