It seems fans put too much emphasis in lyrics (silly/ cheesy/ clumsy/ other descriptions) than "We get Mike & Brian sing "Meant For You", COOL!". That, I don't understand.

Can't win 'em all indeed. Just for the record though, I was never one of those fans who complained about MFY being too short. I love it at 39 seconds. Pefect!

According to John in "The Definitive Vocal Credits" topic (a priceless document), it's Alan on the verses, Carl on the choruses and Brian on the chorus responses. Other prominent vocal lines are Dennis humming on the intro and bridge and Murry's deep "full!" in the chorus. Some great instrumental touches in there too, most notably the organ solo (which reminds me of the bass on a "GV" session track) and the wildly ringing bells in the chorus.

I like this song even though it sounds like it should be the theme song for a cheesey TV show (but it's way cooler than "Karen"!). 4 (really 3.5, but 4....)

The verse is a trifle generic but the chorus amply makes up for it. The song's mood fits in perfectly on this album. 5.
