I always thought that Ask Me Why was John's first real "sophisticated" sounding song.

I really do like Ask Me Why. But, I also like every song on PPM. There's a Place might be my favorite, for the lyrics. It just beat In My Room to the punch.

Please Please Me is the debut studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Parlophone rush-released the album on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalise on the success of the singles "Please Please Me" (No. 1 on most lists though only No. 2 on Record Retailer)[6] and "Love Me Do" (No. 17).
Of the album's 14 songs, eight were written by Lennon–McCartney (originally credited "McCartney–Lennon"), early evidence of what Rolling Stone later called "[their invention of] the idea of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments."[7] In 2012, Please Please Me was voted 39th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time."[8] There is still a place for There's A Place (1 vote). Misery is still liking our company (5 votes). But this week, Ask Me Why is outta questions (8 votes). As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off. Tally on September 10. I Saw Her Standing There Misery Please Please Me There's A Place Twist and Shout Round#1 A Taste of Honey July 23 Round#2 Boys July 30 Round#3 Chains August 3 Round#4 P.S. I Love You August 7 Round#5 Do You Want To Know A Secret August 16 Round#6 Love Me Do August 20 Round#7 Baby It's You August 25 Round#8 Anna August 31 Round#9 Ask Me Why September 5 I have no place left in my heart for There's A Place. I love the song. But it's the lesser of what is left. Vote Vote Vote!

2Loopdeloopflipflop: there're 2 rounds left to vote for the least favorite track. Then the remaining 3 songs, you choose what deserves to win in your opinion.

Of those still standing, "Misery" will soon fall, and rightly so.
You voting for my favorite song on this album, Stop It! "There's A Place" deserves to be in the Top 3, at least.
