Itīs a song from Mikeīs unreleased solo album "First Love"; the songīs also known as "Little Darlinī".

Sounds like a variation of "Sherry She Needs Me". Wonder if BW was involved.

That's why I asked about it. We know about Cindy and Sherry, but I don't remember ever reading any reference of Tricia as a link to the song.

No BW involvement afaik, but Carl Wilson provides background vocals.

Very lovely. Very reminding of "Sherry she needs me",though. But there was a time, where I listened to "Tricia" many, many times in repeat.

BTW Christian, good to see you're still there.

a happy moment for Brian:

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Sounds like a reworking of "Sherry She Needs Me" too.  At least the verses.

Just to put things in perspective, I'm not shocked when someone smokes a cigarette.

I thought he was enjoying a joint, the way he inhaled the smoke of that baby, but learned now that's probably not the case. So forget my last post.
And just in case, I'm not even shocked when someone smokes a joint, but was kind of surprised that Brian did it in front of cameras.

Just watched it again, I guess I did see it a few years back. Good that it's back online, it's really well done. Only few factual errors et cetera (for example the Beach Boys producing seven albums in a row without Brian).
Gotta forward this to a few people who still don't know that much about Brian and/or Pet Sounds...

I was going through some topics from 'General Discussion' and I read this :

The main reason for Carl's slide to the dark side was the breakdown of his marriage.  Falling down drunk/stoned at that show in Australia may have been the turning point for him.  Maybe that and seeing how bad things were getting for his two brothers.  See, that's why I maintain that Carl stayed basically "sane":  a sane person who momentarily loses control can bounce back much easier than someone who is deeply, permanently scarred.

Is there a video with Carl falling down ? Or even footage?
