Saw this, jaw is on the floor. Paul McCartney's never played this live before, I personally like the song but it's a real rarity. And a special BB guest on vocals...although you can't hear him and can only briefly see him...very surprised... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz8ZNtoCHrI

A fairly down-to-earth person who once was around the Beach Boys quite a bit "back in the day" once said to me, "the problem with Mike is he always took himself so damn seriously." Which to me was a pretty illuminating statement.

It's a cover from the Vigotone Smile boot. It sounds like it's from the 80's to me...

Might be the Aunt Bee cover. Whatever it is, I find it pretty trippy and cool.

Great music at http://www.soundclick.com/fear2stop In Loving Memory Shannon Lebar Johnson (1977-2008) Rest easy bro. Hilary Noelle Proseus (1976-2010) I'll miss your laugh and your smile... take care Hil. Elton was probably in that funky château snorting cocaine off of a renaissance inspired ornate end table writing "Funky Cat" at the same time Brian was in his Bel Air mansion snorting cocaine off of a rubber ducky as he perfected "You Need a Mess of Help".

I always assumed that it was the Beach Boys. I found it on Napster 10 years ago when I was looking for Smile stuff. I guess I just learned something new.

A little OT but here's a nice Beatles-documentary. Brian and Mike (without hat !!!) also say a little. Not together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggVQQXTsdYE&feature=related

Yes he does! What I really like about the clip are Brian's gestures. Did you notice right after the bridge ("Break my heart...), Brian gestures to Paul Mertens on flute, almost like saying, "Don't go into the flute solo", like he (Brian) was on roll. Also, did you notice Brian making eye contact with Taylor and imitating her percussion movements. He was really into it.

I always enjoy it when Brian plays bass. He seems more like, I don't know, the old Brian when he does even the slightest little dancing. I swear I don't want to get into a Beach Boys' reunion debate (unless anybody wants to ), but I wonder, if at a Beach Boys reunion-type concert, if Brian would be competent enough to play the bass on a good half dozen songs. You know, give him something to keep his attention a little more.
