So M&B are doing a standard VIP package now, which actually sounds kinda neat. Looks like one of these will cost you about $150 USD. I know they've done this stuff in the past, but I dunno to what extent. This seems more in-line with what they were doing for C50.

You will get:
-Front Row Seats
-1 Hour Club Kokomo Lounge pass (pre-show)
-Access to the intimate VIP-only Soundcheck
-Photograph with The Beach Boys
-Q&A with The Beach Boys
-Autographed USB laminate loaded with two albums of The Beach Boys music

There's even a trailer: http://vimeo.com/98187127

If I weren't poor I wouldn't mind being part of Club Kokomo...but I'm poor  Sad

Who here would get this.

Getting Bruce's shorts is a deal breaker for me.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Keepin The Summer Alive and Summer In Paradise is my guess.

Club Kokomo Lounge would be a dreadful place without the soothing sounds of 'Island Fever' to get you in the mood for a Mike and Bruce meet up.

Also, if we're all to poor to get an individual ticket, I vote we start a Club Kokomo Lounge Pass Fund and send Hypehat into the breach to report back every detail of the Club Kokomo Lounge experience.

edit. Pinder you beat me to it! LOL I vote OSD and Hypehat to make this brave trek.

The video very clearly states that All Summer Long and Shut Down Volume 2 are the two albums on the flash drive.

That "VIP Hang" with The Beach Boys sure looks like fun: pinned stiffly between Bruce and Mike against an ugly brick wall for a photo op.

With this current Jones Beach debacle raging, they might have the arcade game Whack-A-Mole installed in the lounge, but instead of a plastic mole popping out it's Al Jardine.

Can't they just hire Verne Troyer to stand in for Al? He plays guitar, I think.

For a guy who hated all the trappings of the C50, Mike sure is cramming as many of them in to his touring show as he possibly can.

Look! On screen tributes to Carl and Dennis!
WoW!! Celebrating 50 years of…. um… a hit single!
Cripes! Bigger venues!!!
Zowie! A meet and greet!
Hooray! Jeff Foskett!

It's starting to look like the only thing Mike really didn't like about C50 Beach Boys was, you know, the Beach Boys.

Thing is, the package(s) only seems to be available in washington state at the casino. none of the other venues allow buying the package, or even say they're sold out

To be fair, the stuff that Mike seemed to hate the most were the "unnecessary" expenses (in his eyes): Separate tour buses, huge band, 1st class flights, touring with all of the equipment...

I'm sure that those things had an impact on the bottom line, but we're not exactly talking the U2 Popmart tour, are we?

Biding time

Readin Mikie's tales of meeting band members before and after gigs in years gone by, this whole VIP sh*t leaves a bad taste. So back then they were cool enough to mix with the fans, now they demand a premium. Good move. Good PR.

Didn`t someone else comment that meets and greets like this are, `fully clothed prostitution`? Personally I can`t understand why anybody would want to shell out a decent amount of money just to exchange a few words and get a photo with any band but obviously plenty of people do.

If they offered that package in Europe, I would pay for it. Over the past 30+ years of fanship I can categorically state that the few times I have seen the BBs and Brian, no amount of standing in the right place at the right time has ever allowed me to meet them. The older I get, the less I feel like begging the powers that be to let humble old me say hello to may favourite band. If paying a fee solves all that, and would allow me to get my Sunflower completed with band signatures, then I would do so without question.

I had a big moan during the C50 about M&G's and the last few days confirms it again.

On the whole they're all so f*cked up, I wouldn't want to meet any of them!

Seeing them as a group live since 78 is as personal as I want to get thanks.
