does anyone here think it was sort of crummy what Mike did? From what I recall, he cradle robbed a 17 year old, had two kids with her, would occasionally beat her (according to Gaines, had a short fuse at the time) and when they split, he blamed it on her, got legal rights over his children, and left her with basically no money.

My God, the utter cad - how DARE he have two children with the poor woman... and after he married her too !

Oh, and following your rule, Brian was a cradle robber too (Marilyn was 16 when they married, 14 when they met), as was Carl (Annie was also 16).

Everybody know that Bruce wearing shorts in public and Al sporting that ponytail on stage for years are far worse crimes than domestic violence and incest. Where are your priorities?

If this were any more than tittle tattle and Mike had been charged with something then you might have a point. Personally I don't consider Mike or any of the other band members to be heroes (the music is the star) and I'm not going to lose sleep over things written in a book decades ago.
