Has to be up there with the other incredible outros the BB's did like Please Let Me Wonder,Wouldn't it be Nice,Til I Die,All This is That...
The way Carl hums towards the end it makes you feel the emotions that are coming out of him more than ever with Brian.
I never praise Carl for what he has brought to the group but one thing I give him is that he sang with more soul than the other BB's and even the big name singers of Motown.
Every time I hear that song I just have to replay it because I never really want it to end & is easily one of my favorite post Pet Sounds songs.
Any of you a fan of this song? If so, do you remember your first time listening to it? (How was that like?)

It is an incredible song and recording. As a composition and arrangement, I like the version on the Spring album even more, with the "starlight, starbright" section and the slowed-down last verse. Seems a lot more complete there.

I've never heard that version before...Is it on Youtube? Do you remember your first time hearing the song? Did it click with you immediately or did it take some time for you to get it?

I first heard it around 1987, on the Warners Loss Leaders compilation The Big Ball. Loved it immediately.
I would recommend listening to the Spring album, it is pretty incredible. Great versions of Forever and Good Time on there as well. Dunno if the album is on Youtube.

Don't agree with you on the song, but I have to admit, that is the best photo of Marilyn and Diane that I have ever seen. Ever!

She wasn't a looker but she there was something sexy about her. Or maybe it was because Brian was banging her that made her somewhat attractive to me.

You can keep this sort of sh*t to yourself, you sad little creep.
It's pretty offensive to see anyone singled out and described in these terms; let alone a talented individual, wife and parent who played a significant part in the personal history of the BB's.
I hope this kind of comment doesn't add to the already diminishing amount of contribution from genuine BB associates and veteran fans who generously provide info and describe their experiences - especially those people who know may know Marilyn personally or via the wider BB scene.

So you're telling me if you had the chance you wouldn't wanna snuggle with her? She was married to Brian for that reason alone I'd wanna be with her.

Yeah, it is fairly unbelievable this kid gets to spray flaming diarrhea over the forum day after day after day. I'm no behavioral angel by any means, but at least I know what I'm talking about, most of the time. Lack of manners + lack of knowledge + the subtlety of a screaming bullhorn = deadly.

The dude is a genius and I admire him..If sleeping with his ex wife would somehow bring me closer to him I would do so. I could get all this inside information on his life and also hear the unreleased recordings that's left with her.
