Daybreak Over The Ocean - At Starbucks

Heard Daybreak Over The Ocean at Starbucks yesterday, I thought that was interesting. Has anyone else heard this anywhere, did they release it as a single? This is the only track off TWGMTR that I have heard anywhere.

I was shocked to hear it on my stereo. Then I discovered something interesting. I had the album on. :0

Not a single. But a cool song.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

It is a cool song, just thought it was odd to hear it somewhere. I have not heard anything from the new album on the radio or at any stores, so I was surprised to hear this non-single.

I was in a Starbucks in Virginia and they randomly played Beaches in Mind. Was weird, but I live in NYC and they played TWGMTR a few times, so that was cool.

I wonder if Mike is including it in his Beach Boys sets the way he did with Cool Head Warm Heart for a while.

"Daybreak Over The ocean" is a great song to be playing at a Starbucks, especially in the morning as people are getting their coffee...a perfect way to start the day, with a little mellow Beach Boys, a Kokomo-like feel...

It's the perfect song to go with your overpriced coffee from a place that named both their small and medium sizes variants of "large".

Not that anyone cares, but the reason the small coffee at Starbucks is called a "Tall" is that it's the largest of the two original sizes. Starbucks used to only have an 8 oz. cup, which was "Short" and a 12 oz. cup, which is "Tall". You can still order a Short but it's not on the menu anymore.

I never knew that. I thought it was just "large", "a larger size with a different word for 'large' ", and "twenty".
