If Phil was (is?) the downer on this board, then I. Spaceman must be the rager  Grin

This used to be a place for knowledgeable, veteran Beach Boys fans to discuss the finer points and lesser-known details on the band's career. Now it just seems to be a place where any random teenager can wander in, start juvenile topics, argue over common knowledge, etc. I wish there were a hidden forum  on the board that you could enter only after passing a quiz. If there was something like that, I'd surely spend all my time there.

we need some sort of final solution to clear out these unterbeachboysfansen

I Can Hear Music was a Top 40 hit. I heard it many times on LA radio in the 80's.

If some band was a one hit wonder, and this was it, with the exact same amount of success it would be considered a smash hit. Probably get a lot more radio play. But since this is done by one of the most successful bands of all time, it can get lost in the shuffle. Same with Darlin, Do it Again, Sail on Sailor, etc (in the U.S. anyway).

Thank you Ian. This guy is ridiculous. There's one thing where a new fan wants to learn, and might ask a few questions here and there, and otherwise search out the answers. But this guy.....makes it seem like it's ok to start a thread any time some halfass Beach Boys related thing pops into his head.

I don't know if that statement sounded funny in your head, but I find it quite a bit insulting.  Further proof that this board is going to the dogs!
