I use to love those two albums. I think they came in a two-fer back in the day. But the only song I would listen to was Beck's Bolero. had a Be My Baby -caliber fancy for the bolero. IsThe rest of 'em good? might need to get me some?
It is an incredible album, as good and intense as anything Led Zeppelin have ever done. Big influence on them too.

Beatles - The Inner Light.
Absolutely beautiful - I've never understood why so many Beatles fans dislike George's Indian-influenced songs.

Yes! That brings back memories. Loved late 70's early 80's UK Rock. "I Wanna Destroy You" "Kingdom of Love" and "Tonight" are my favorites. Is "You'll Have to Go Sideways" a rip from Honeyman-Scott's "Space Invader" or just another fad track influenced by the video game? Robin, in this period, was totally under the spell of Lou Reed and Bowie. Mostly lost touch after "Balloon Man/
Globe of Frogs
in the late 80's.
You have Got to check out Wreckless Eric - "Dizzy" and "A Pop Song" (Live from Countdown, Australia 1980) - both are on Youtube. Oh, and The Records - one of the best UK Power Pop bands from the early 80's. Their first album
Shades in Bed
was a classic. And listen to the EP from those sessions.

Beatles - The Inner Light.
Absolutely beautiful - I've never understood why so many Beatles fans dislike George's Indian-influenced songs.
I thought George's best recordings were with The Beatles. He got so few, so they were all Top Tracks. The mystical numbers were some of his Best. The last Capitol 45, "Lady Madonna"/"Inner Light" is in my top five favorite Beatles 45s. I prefer the Mono "Inner Light" - but the stereo "Lady Madonna"
I like Ravi, but in small doses. After twenty minutes or so I want to play something else.
Jeff Beck Group - Huge fan of any of the first four. If I had too choose the Best:
Beck-Ola and Rough and Ready.
I like the
BB&A
as well. I do not think they are any better than Led Zeppelin though. You might convince me that Jeff was a better guitar player, but I don't see that he influenced Jimmy. I believe Page was doing sessions, important sessions, before Beck came on the scene. Find the book And on piano...Nicky Hopkins. It explains some of the pre-'66 period of English session cats. Jimmy was, Beck was not. Beck's connection to Mickie Most did bring Jeff Beck Group in on the Donovan May 1969 Barabajagal sessions. Good picks Ovi.

Interesting thoughts, feelsflow. Lady Madonna/Inner Light is indeed amazing. Regarding Harrison, just a while ago I was debating with myself whether I'd take his Beatles contributions over the stuff on All Things Must Pass, the album. I still don't think I've reached a conclusion.
Regarding The Jeff Beck Group, I've yet to hear other of their albums, so I can't pronounce myself yet. All I can say is that these I'd much rather listen to them than to Led Zeppelin, having overdosed on the latter in my early days of 'rock' fandom. Not the band's fault by any means, of course.

Camper Van Beethoven - Good Guys & Bad Guys
- after listening to variety of their songs in variety of genres, I can safely say that this folk-ska number is my go-to favorite. It's filled with optimism & laid-back summery feel (even though I don't like summer), there are lots of instruments, including dominant fiddle & what seems to be accordion, also guitars, synths, drums. Now the vocal: whenever I listen to the song I catch myself thinking that it is strikingly similar to that of (Stephen Newcombe). You know, the guy from the Smiley board. So, do check it, fun & groove reassured. [The band rules, in general.]

Most beautiful track I've heard in a while.
Skip to 1:40 for the bulk of the song.
