And now, Brothers & Sisters, let us rise and join hands in the Brianista's Prayer.

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.

Amen.

Some musician friends of my in Austin are engaged in a hilarious Facebook thread right now because one of them bought tickets for the "Beach Boys" expecting more than just two. After he found out he was getting John Stamos and not Brian Wilson, he tried to get rid of his tickets at half face value. No takers.
Perfect example of why Mike needed to put that release out. Remarkable "...he found out" about John Stamos, but not about Brian, Al and Dave.

You beat me to it, Rocker! Smiley

Nothing at all remarkable about finding out at the same time he was getting Stamos and not Brian, which is what the original statement says.

The biggest joke associated with the Beach Boys is their "fans".

I think the BB Fans should hear this, I want to see there reaction to this! Lol

Just as long as they don't threaten to kill people online or post photos of dead bodies eh Ethan? lol.

Hands down the funniest thing I've ever read here!

That prayer needs to find a permanent spot on the homepage for all to read.

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

"ragegasm" - /rāj • ga-zəm/ : a logical mental response produced when your favorite band becomes remotely associated with the bro-country genre.

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

But the thing is, Brian himself was interested in being led into Kokomo, as attested in that recent Rolling Stone article, and Mike was the one delivering him from it.

However I'm willing to bet some time in October we will have a story in a local paper about some dumb@ss who thought he was seeing the celebration Beach Boys rather than the BB Lite version. You just know its going to happen! Thud

Ok its facebook rather than the local paper but it seems we have a winner! LOL

Yup. We like to see ourselves as qualified, knowledgeable fans.

The rest of the world sees us as patients.

Wait, because people have lives and they don't obsess about who is touring as the Beach Boys this week they are dumbasses? One of the many reasons the reunion tour did so well is the amount of press it received. It hardly takes a dumbass to assume the Beach Boys might actually be the Beach Boys.

I don't know, seems to me like anyone who would care whether or not Brian, Al etc were in the band, should be the kind of person who would already know whether or not they were in the band.

If I see that the 1910 Fruitgum Company is playing in my area, am I going to look up how many original members there are before I buy a ticket? No, of course not. You know why? Because I don't care.
