BBC Radio 2 @ 8pm GMT tonight , The Beach Boys live at The Mermaid Theatre in London, a taster for their Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena shows later this week for anyone fortunate enough to be going. Concert 8-9.30, a bit of Ellington in the middle, then a Beach Boys at 50 documentary from 10-11 narrated by none other than Harry Shearer ! :

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Ah yes of course, the original thread telling us to get in quick and apply for tickets, it's moved so far down the pecking order thanks to the multiple pages about the skulduggery of M & B that I couldn't see it when posting this...anyway, nothing wrong with a gentle reminder just in case anyone had forgotten  Smiley
