I brought my friend along to the Saratoga Beach Boys concert, and he said he finally understands why I love them so much.
He want's to borrow one of my books on them, specifically SMiLE, but also including a bit of overall knowledge.

Maybe "Lost Masterpiece"? or LLVS?
What book would be the easiest for him to approach?

IMHO - let him see one of the DVD's to start him off - "Endless Harmony" or "Beautiful Dreamer" for starters, then throw the heavyweight stuff at him  Smokin

LLVS is a great read for Smile history. Some of the information is dated but the articles from back in the day are priceless!

I'd give him Catch A Wave - best history of the band, imo

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

I agree, I loved that book, but he's more concerned on "figuring out" SMiLE first Razz
