I've finding it pretty easy to get beyond Bruce's politics.  He and Brian just nailed the recreation of the ending of GOK on the QVC show.  That's really one of the all-time great vocal duets and it's so great to hear it done again, so well.

Yeah; when they were rolling through that, so well, I thought "Man, this is something special".

Just want to give a thumbs up to Dave's lead guitar playing as well.  This guy is so legit it's ridiculous.  They should have let him tour with the group years ago.

I confirmed with Probyn the other day that it's Bruce doing the sky-high falsetto part on the end of "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times."  That part alone is worth the price of admission.  It's wonderful...and EXTREMELY difficult.  Amazing he can do it.

Bruce! I am mesmerised by the clip of Disney Girls from the Verizon theatre. He bloody NAILS it!

Bruce's voice is a strange one. He's lost much of the strength he had in his vocals when he was younger although they were always fairly reedy but his range is still absolutely intact, to hear him sing the end tag of Fun Fun Fun is astonishing! I wonder how he'd sound on the chorus of I Get Around with maybe Totten doubling him and Jeff slipping back to a midrange part?

Yes! The Disney Girls on the first night at Mohegan Sun ended up being a surprise highlight. He has also nailed the tags on GOK and Cali Girls. And he's always smiling. That guy is having fun.

I don't necessarily agree with Bruce's political perspective (at least not the ill defined and crude way he describes the President), but my love and devotion for his and the the Beach Boys' music far outweighs my devotion to anything or anyone in modern politics, that's for sure. When his "comment" first came out I thought it would impair my ability to appreciate Bruce but with a band like the BB the overarching beauty of the music seems to render any of the other BS irrelevant. Yes, I of course love the BB and I still love Bruce.
