I have so many favorites but i picked these songs for obvious reasons. Smiley..then again in an hour i'll change songs because I know too many just to be happy with 3 forever.  What would your 3 be? & What do you think of my top 3 songs?

1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t2VSB5EJxc (Something soothing/mellow to relax myself.)
2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odJuNyfteQg (I would skip the verses  & go to the chorus.)
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0s7zqYF8NU (Something positive that would cheer me up.)

And When I Die - Blood Sweat and Tears, for a song about death it's upbeat!

Sweetness Follows - R.E.M., not so upbeat

Have you heard Laura Nyro's original version of And When I Die? If not, I'd recommend it.

I have and it's as brilliant as one would expect from her, she's penned many classic songs, truly an exceptional talent.

If you're talking a death is just around the coroner scenario, I won't waste my time listening to songs; I'll be writing 'em. I'd also like to do a little something good for someone.

ps; good last choice, Care Of Cell 44 is one of my faves.

1: Clair De Lune - Debussy
2: In The Back Of My Mind (instrumental) - The Beach Boys
3: California Girls (instrumental) - The Beach Boys

and number 4: Tijuana Taxi - Herb Alpert.

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

"ragegasm" - /rāj • ga-zəm/ : a logical mental response produced when your favorite band becomes remotely associated with the bro-country genre.

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

Find them! California Girls instrumental is on the Stack-O-Tracks album (that's the final song I want to hear before I cease to exist). ITBOMM instrumental is on a few boots....probably the greatest piece of music I've ever heard in my life.

i heard the california girls instrumental :] it amazes me how the beach boys created it...i really feel like it's been over-looked as just a hit it's a beautiful piece of music!
and in the back of my mind :] as much as i love dennis's singing on it i wonder what brian would've sounded like on it.
i love it too it shows that brian was definitely blossoming into a composer like his idol phil spector...

"Into the Mystic" - Van Morrison
"Pearly Gates" - Prefab Sprout
And I'm gonna have to concur with the "California Girls" instrumental.

I'd pick

Be My Baby (Perfect song)
True Love Will Find You In The End - Daniel Johnston. (Also perfect)

And As Slow As Possible by John Cage, because it lasts 639 years  LOL

To be an ass, My song "Watercolours"

It's just that kind of song, where you see the "coming of age to a finale" kind of thing.
