Jeff Foskett flubbing a guitar intro at a three man gig for something I bet they don't give a crap about = obviously the man is Satan.

But man, the hate for him here is just over the top ridiculous.

I don't get it, I think it's his falsetto that pisses people off

Or the fact he doesn't like Love You.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

COMMENT:  I liked hearing Brian say that his favorite studio was the one I built and ran. ~swd

That was a very cool thing Brian said, I never knew that. You must feel honored Mr. Desper  Grin

Jeff Foskett has personal preferences with regards to music = he likes to destroy the confidence and dreams of small children and bangs your wife and your father.

I mean, seriously? Even some people here don't like Love You! Do they deserve the boundless scorn of you and others?

I have no problem with Jeff, people like ghost wanted to almost kill the man for not liking Love You.

Haha, oh damn. Sorry Slim Shady. The Foskett hate here just irritates me for some reason. The dude seems so chill and respectful of BW and his music, BW counts on him for support, and he completely understands what the deal is with Brian's illness and inherent issues and people are all like 'Well, I'd rather see Stamos than him at the reunion' and it rankles. I really don't get it.

I was at the performance and the Gibson room was packed.  Gibson stopped letting people into their room because it was so crowded.  Brian Wilson still packs them in!  John Stamos was also watching the performance from the side.

Yeah!  I actually like Jeff's Falsetto, I don't understand the issue.

One of my theories is people hate Jeff, because he so easily imitates what Brian 'the genius' sang back in the day.

Not saying Jeff sings as well as Brian... of course he doesn't.  However he does a pretty good go of it; and I think that pisses people off that here's this nobody who can almost sing like Brian.  How dare he.

I have no personal issue with Jeff, or any real issue with his voice. Only thing I don't like is that a lot of times on stage when he doubles Brian, it throws them *both* off key. Their voices do not mesh well at all IMHO when sharing leads.

Stamos and Foskett are fans that fulfilled their life-long dream of performng with their heroes. Other fans hate them for it.

It may not work on a few songs but hearing them both do the 'columnated ruins domino' part at the London Smile shows was just beautiful.

Why do I think Darian was in there on the "domino" high note? I'm not a huge fan of Jeff's falsetto. To me, it lacks the nuance that Brian's had. But he's still a remarkably "athletic" singer, as VDP would say.
I think some people have an issue with Jeff because they think he's one of the people who is pushing Brian to be onboard with all the projects he's doing. Jeff helps make sure Brian is ready to go onstage, etc. And it's like with Melinda-- they feel there's some unfair pushing going on. But that's only one opinion. It's not necessarily how I feel.
