Sure, they're a great backing band, but their own albums are incredible!

Here's What I Think...

Wondermints= 10/10
Wonderful World Of...= 8/10
Bali= 9/10
Mind if we Make Love To You?= 9/10

The Wondermints are not Brian's backup band. MEMBERS of The Wondermints are members of Brian's backup band.

If all that an appreciation thread for the Wondermints can offer is a rather simple, one-sided look at the music, I can see why others would reach that conclusion. Of course, I've LISTENED to the Wondermints and agree with Mr. cablegeddon. Smiley

Oh come on,  I don't think there has been music written that's THAT bad!

The Wondermints are alright, but if we're talking 90's powerpop there is only Jellyfish. The 'Mints are a tad bland in comparison, the songs aren't up to snuff.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Ah I was about to say I love me some Wondermints but then you go and mention Jellyfish!  The Mints don't hold up there, but then those 2 Jellyfish LPs are to my mind the best music of the 1990s.  Regardless though, they are great musicians who made a lot of cool good music and the Summer in Paradise/Kokomo put down is insipid.
