The Olympics coming to London, which will be OK in our usual "fudge-it-at-the-last-moment-and-hope-no-one-notices" way...

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee a few weeks before that, which will be awesome because while we may not be too good at very much these days, we do  large-scale ceremonial like a bitch...

Oh yeah, and the 50th anniversary of The Beach Boys, which has equal potential for triumph and catastrophe, and will very likely flirt with both more than once.

To all my friends here, a very happy New Year to you & yours. As Mr. Wilson would doubtless aver, it's going to be a trip.  Grin

I`ll personally make sure that the queen gets a safety pin shoved through her nose and a bunch of wannabe rabble rouser punks play a show on a boat in the Thames while screaming in support of Anarchy during the jubilee.
