Ok, Imagine, Capitol calls on you in the 80's to help create a 13 song collection to be known as "Pet Sounds 2"

RULES:
-The songs must be from 68'-79'.
-The Songs must be Brian Wilson Productions.
-The Tracklist doesn't need to be in order.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

What about Puppy Sounds... a 'prequel' of all the most creative songs that led the way to the album itself! Grin

Pet Sounds 2: Electric Boogaloo, that title sounds like a 1970s disco version of pet sounds produced by Bruce.... LOL

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I would have Diamond Head and Trombone Dixie on there as the two instrumentals.

I'd tell them to drop the idea, and do a massive remarketing of Sunflower instead.

Since the original pet sounds is so mellow and melodic it would have to be something similar Smiley
but sadly after brian's meltdown there werent that many mellow/ballad songs anymore or enough  to make a pet sounds 2 :/

In my opinion 'Love You' is the closest thing you get to the uniform sound and lyrical content of Pet Sounds, but Brian wasn't going to create something as good as PS again even if hadn't lost out to drugs. 'Love You' sounds ver different, and is more childing and shallow, but it is beautiful, it has to grow on one i guess.

"Over the years, I've been accused of not supporting our new music from this era (67-73) and just wanting to play our hits. That's complete b.s......I was also, as the front man, the one promoting these songs onstage and have the scars to show for it."
