Rare songs played live in the 60's.

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but apparently someone unearthed an unreleased Beatles concert from '63 which has them playing some songs I've personally never heard live versions of (including "There's A Place" and a few others).

It got me thinking. What, if any, rare songs did The Beach Boys perform back in the 60's?

Surely there has to be at least ONE performance of them doing something completely out there (outside of the usual boots).

I suppose What'd I Say from Australia in early '64 counts. They performed Gettin' Hungry in August of 1967 in Hawaii. They also covered Buffalo Springfield's Rock and Roll Woman in 1969.

II think the live version of “Slip on Through” floating out there is an off-line recording of a radio or TV show performance. Pretty murky-sounding, but it sounds like they could pull that one off live pretty well.

Maybe my recollections are a little fuzzy, but I think I've only heard Dennis sing the lead to Rhonda once or twice. The one that sticks out in my mind is where he flubs a verse or sings it twice.

Carl and Al traded off leads for Don't Worry Baby and maybe others.

The "Slip On Through" heard on boots is from the syndicated TV show "The Dennis Wholey Show" that was taped in Cincinnati in the late 60s and early 70s.  The appearance was taped in November 1969.

I've heard brief renditions of Pom Pom Playgirl and Salt Lake City on some live rarities comps.....I have Salt Lake City (just the chorus) sung in 81 at Park City UT. Pom Pom Playgirl was played live in 71 at Notre Dame, IN.
I have a recording (floating around out there) of Mr. Moto (live from 62).

I know and have heard of a couple of 60s rarities (woulda been rare to play anytime) that were played in the 70s: Don't Talk (Put Your Head on my Shoulder) was played in Tampa FL in 74, I think Billy H sang lead on I'm Waiting for the Day in 75, and Dennis sang a gruff lead on In the Back of My Mind in St. Louis in 75.

IDK if it's considered rare but 20/20's All I Want to Do was to be at the end of Live in London, but is now found on the early 80s BB Rarities album.  (IMO, a FANTASTIC encore/concert ender)

Looking on Eric Aniversario's site of Setlists , Girl Don't Tell Me is listed as being performed in 65 at Fresno CA, in my opinion, I'd consider that rare, but then again, it coulda been on the setlist when Summer Days was currently out on LP.
Also, on Eric's Site, I found that Nearest Faraway Place was played live in England in 1969, but I wanna recall that it was on the setlist for a little while. And Bruce sang lead on Please Let me Wonder in 69 if that's to be included as a "rarity"

Now I'm not for sure when Heroes and Villains was added to the setlist perminently, (prolly early to mid 70s), but as a "rarity," I consider the performance of H&V in Hawaii in 67 to be rare because it's (as far as I've heard), the only performance of the song that doesn't use the "Bicycle Rider" lyrics during the chorus....granted, I'm sure it was added to the performances when added to the setlist in the 70s, but still, it's a slightly different live version.

Also, IDK if this is considered a rarity but I know Hey Little Cobra is from the 60s and was played in the mid 80s...and prolly played many times after that too.

Please point me in the direction of the 4 or 5 boots that have Dennis Wilson singing lead on Rhonda. I can find one right now where he messes it up and I think I have another but can't find it. I'm really interested in hearing the others, in addition to the one where Carl is singing lead on the song.
