I grew up listening to stations like k-earth 101, 99.9 kola and k-best 95; that was my exposure to rock n' roll as a child; but nowadays they never play any 50s-60s rock. It's always late 60s, 70s and even 80s?!? You  rarely ever hear a Beach Boys song, pretty much hardly ever any Jan & Dean, Dion, Frankie Valli or any of the other real rock n roll. fuckin lame!

Even when I was a little kid (which was only 10-15 years ago) the Beach Boys were played on the oldies station.

Pretty soon... find them on classical stations...  Cool Guy

Where is rock and roll today? I thought this was going to be some old fogeys rant about Rebecca Black or something.  LOL

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Where I live, oldies stations can't even exist anymore. There was one for about 20 years, and then they got rid of it. A couple years back they tried to bring another one into the market, but it didn't last. The closest you can get is classic rock and a station that plays stuff from the 70's through the 90's.
