Hallo there!

Right I'd better come clean: I work for Gold Radio in the UK, we're hosting a competition to find the greatest songs of all time and we'd love to hear from fellow Beach Boys enthusiasts on their tips for the top. Personally my vote's going to 'Good Vibrations' - much imitated, never bettered. An absolute monster of a song! What d'you reckon?

PS bonus credit to anyone who thinks they can name the top three BB tracks as voting currently stands!

Is it possible to hold off the vote until after The SMiLE Sessions have been released? One or two folks might want to hear whether there's a new H&V or Surf's Up mix on there that jumps to the top of their list list.

Thank you in anticipation.

@jonas it's a tricky one, I'll grant you that.

@Wee Helper 'Fraid not, voting closes at the end of next week! And I reckon a song as good as 'Heroes & Villains' deserves top be up there, irrespective of the mix!

Any other thoughts on the top three as it stands?

I second that.

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

Amazingly enough, that's the number-one voted song so far. You've cracked it!

Voted. BTW: Roy Wood lists 'God Only Knows' as his personal #1. Gotta love that guy.

I'm gonna guess

1. God Only Knows
2. Good Vibrations
3. I Get Around

?

Ha let us know.

PS Dean Martin works for Gold Radio I think and does the tannoy at my football (soccer) club.

'Wild Honey''s terrific, agreed!

Here's the voting as it stands:

1 'God Only Knows'
2 'Good Vibrations'
3 'Lady Lynda'

...with 'Wouldn't It Be Nice' a close fourth. Don't forget to let us know all your own faves here: http://greatesthits.mygoldmusic.com/

Ha ha, another insider tip if I may: 'Wouldn't It Be Nice' is currently lurking just outside the Top 300, if like me you consider this a terrible injustice and want to hear it played as part of the final cut vote here: http://greatesthits.mygoldmusic.com/
