Nerves I guess. I've never had a problem with Amazon but the fact that this is something all of have been expecting for years (or in some cases, decades) put more people on edge.

That and the e-mail from Amazon that the box was on backorder.

And just the fact that if you order months in advance and use the option to get it the day of release, it's not unreasonable to expect it.

(And personally, I have to work job #2 Wednesday night and go to school Thursday night. If I don't get this thing TOMORROW, my commutes are going to be miserable!)

I took Tuesday off so I am invested in it arriving tomorrow.

That being said, I just received my shipping notices. Supposed to arrive tomorrow.  Grin

Just FYI for those who are beginning to stress: I had guaranteed Morning Express delivery for the 5 CD set and relase date delivery guaranteed for the 2 CD set and Amazon gave notice of shipping around 10:30 pm for both. The 5 CD package arrived at 9:30 am the next day (Oct 28 Germany release date) and the 2 CD package arrived at 4:30pm via another courier company. Both arrived on the day of release as promised by Amazon.

Seriously, did anyone here actually get their 5 or 2 CD sets at Best Buy or Wal Mart?  I stopped going to those stores because they simply never have what I'm looking for.

My guess none of these stores will stock it if it doesn't say "Garth Brooks".

Also, have you ever noticed that the people who shop at a Wal Mart look a little "off"?  You know.... Crazy?  Crazed?  I dunno......

Well, Mooger, I actually am starting to think a bit positively that way. At a former job, I was responsible for shipping stuff, and I know from that experience that next-day shipments could go out surprisingly late (like at least 8:00pm) and still get there the next morning...

Usually next-day shipments get there in the morning, though, so hopefully you won't have that issue....and hopefully I won't have that issue!!!

Here in Germany the deliveries for "express morning" are done by DHL where release day delivereies can be eithe DHL or Hermes. I havbe had positive expriences with both. I happen to know the Hermes courier and know that for this neighbourhood, the Hermes stuff _always_ arrives between 1600 at 1730.

Nothing big but for some reason, my order changed from being shipped from PA at 11:58 to being shipped from "US" at 12:10. Odd  LOL

My local stores (WalMart, Target, Best Buy) didn't even have anything in their "Beach Boys" section as of a week ago.  Nothing.  Zip.  Nada.

...hence, ordering with Amazon.

He's saying there wasn't even a Beach Boys section and there likely still won't be. I'm sorry, Wal-Mart rarely have anything worthwhile sans the newest edited versoin of Lil Wayne's album and about 20 copies of the Garth Brooks discography. I cannot see many of them or possibly any of them carrying the box set, nor can I see many of them carrying the 1 and 2 disc editions.

Lawl-Mart's a total sh*t-show to begin with and don't deserve any more support. Sorry.

Perhaps I should clarify.  Nothing.  At all.  Not even a divider for ANYTHING by The Beach Boys.  I may just be a lowly lurker 'round there parts, but I do have enough intelligence to know that any brick and mortar stores in the cultural dead zone that I live in won't be getting anything a week early.

Let's keep in mind that Walmart, Target, and Best Buy are lowest common denominator stores that cater to lowest common denominator levels of intelligence. No wonder Americans love them! Smiley

Why on earth would you put Walmart in the same category as Target and Best Buy???

That and the e-mail from Amazon that the box was on backorder.

Those of you who reside outside the U.S.A. don't understand how serious it is if Amazon.com has not received an adequate quantity of "Smile" product, and if they are allocating their supply randomly(not to the people who placed the earliest orders). With the demise of many record & book stores in the U.S.A, Amazon.com is now the primary seller of compact discs, DVD's & books in the U.S.A.

For my daring to suggest that Capitol's extraordinary security measures for the "Smile" release  have caused a product shortage, I was the target of a vicious personal message from one forum member(in a message titled "Do Not Reply") which made disparaging comments about my mental health, and suggested that I undergo Psychological treatment. NO, it wasn't from Andrew Doe. There is a large group of sick individuals on the forum. Don't we have the right to disagree without personal attacks on the opponent's character or sanity?

Surfs up 67' done in a lower key and complete with that weird wild honey piano.

Is it in a lower key or a lower octave? Sounds like the same key to me.
