A bit disappointed as it seems that amazon.de will not deliver mine until the 7th of November. So this feeling that i'm going to pop is not going to go away for another 8 days(and I work all day on the 7th!) I will endure this hardship with my standard stoicism, needless to say.

Nerves I guess. I've never had a problem with Amazon but the fact that this is something all of have been expecting for years (or in some cases, decades) put more people on edge.

Usually they ship in separate boxes unless you picked the "combine my items" option.

It depends on how the buyer on amazon instructed them to ship it. You have the option to have them ship each item as they receive them or have them ship all of them at the same time.

OK, I've been listening to the 2 CD box-simply just stunning. Speechless and I'll only be repeating what others have already said but the clarity is just mind blowing.
The 5 CD etc boxset is sat on my bed for the morning.

I want to say to Mark, Alan and those that post here who are on the credits-you've done the music and history proud.

Anyone who has both the box set and the 2cd, are the liner notes of the smaller set the same as the book from the box set, just miniaturised? I'm trying to decide whether I'll be crazy getting the 2cd set as well as the box as I only really want it for H&V parts 1 & 2, (and the joy of walking into my local music store and buying Smile!).

Alas, there is no store within 300 kms. No, I have heard an illicit copy of the first 19, which has both whetted my appetite while appeasing it to some extent. Next week can§t come soon enough but I will survive. There is no reason to stress out about it, really.

Called the indie stores around here just as a backup. One's getting the 2-CD set but not the 5-CD set; another one, that has several branches in town, only ordered ONE COPY for the entire chain....all the other indie stores are pretty much either vinyl-only or used-only.   I doubt Best Buy will have it -- if you go to their site, you can't do the in-store reserve option...

In the 2CD box, the liner notes are from Brian and Van. These are repeated in the hardback but you also get liner notes from Mike, Bruce, quotes from Carl and Dennis plus essays from Peter Reum, Dom, a piece from FH, producers notes from ML, AB and DW plus a plethora of photo's and session notes.
There's no question that the big box is essential but that's just my opinion
