It would be funny if Kokomo was on there. Monday Monday would be cool.

If they're true to the whole "parent" concept, we'll be spared "Kokomo."

I'd love to see stuff like "He's A Doll" or "Wendy" on there.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

"An album of their famous parents' songs, says Wilson. "It'll be out in September or October.""

Didn't they sort of make an album like this a few years back?  Have they run out of ideas?

In a perfect world they would write all stuff themselves.
They have writing talents: Alone - Wendy Wilson, I Hear You -  Carnie Wilson.
The last song, that has Brian Wilson style piano, has also some harmony parts similar to Midnight's Another Day (the 'lost in the dark' frase)

California Dreaming, Don't Worry Baby, and maybe others are streaming on the Wilson Phillips website for anybody who's into that stuff.

That's not true, John Phillips (along with Mike Love, Terry Melcher, and Scott McKenzie) wrote Kokomo. Wilson Phillips. Chynna Phillips of Wilson Phillips is the daughter of John Phillips who wrote Kokomo.

Apparently Wilson Philips had a reality show last year? It's resuming in April.

Evidently they were on Tuesday night:
"  To celebrate the debut of their much-anticipated new CD "Dedicated," Wilson Phillips will be making a special live appearance on QVC, beginning tonight at 10 EST. And don't miss the series premiere of "Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On," Sunday April 8 at 9/8c on TV Guide Network "

It's short for Carnelious. I believe it's carnation. Like the flower.

Sigh... It´s like pearls for the swines carnivores... Did you guys ever listen to it?

Check out the similarities. To me it´s similar, but I did never say it was influence on purpose.

1992 Wilson Pillips - I Hear You (Carnie Wilson)

2008 (live 2009) Brian Wilson - Midnight's Another Day (Brian Wilson, Scott Bennett)

I didn´t know it, but now I realise it´s even in the same key

Maybe one of them will come out of the closet and sing 'Hey Little Tomboy'

According to IMDB, Brian almost named her Carnation but shortened it to Carnie. It was the 60s, after all.

I guess if W-P exposes more people to the music, it's all good.
You do realize that Wilson-Phillips has not been relevant for almost 20 years, right?  LOL

:O holy sh*t! I normally go into this sort of thing as very skeptical seeing as a lot of folks just say anything sounds like something else, but there are a lot of similarities. There's nothing outright alarming on first listen, but man, there's something really similar going on there.

Edit: Okay, one part comes pretty close to "alarming". Strange.
