September Gurls - Mike on verses, Carl on chorus
Reckon Al do could the lot? I don't hear Mike on it at all, tbh. Blondie would do a rippin' The Ballad Of El Goodo, now I think of it...

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?
Syncopate it? In front of all these people?!

I Want To Know What Love Is - Foreigner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raNGeq3_DtMSounds like it could fit perfectly on BB85. I think Carl would've nailed the lead vocal.

Bohemian Rhapsody would have been ace. Especially the intro and opera section.

The Residents "The Man In The Dark Sedan" (very cool tune! Mike on lead, doing his best "Monster Mash" imitation. And don't forget the awkward choreography) fun - Some Nights (the only song I like from this modern group. Bruce sings the lead & the other Boys on the background) Camper Van Beethoven - The Light from A Cake (Brian in his 70s damaged voice about his favorite confectionery theme) And "Hang on Sloopy (Sloopy Hang on)" with (of course) Mike as a main singer. One of my ultimate fave 60s tunes.

Musetta's Waltz
With an early surf harmony (think Lonely Sea), not the very dense rock harmony that came after.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Listening to "Who Knows What Love Is" by Strawberry Switchblade makes me think of how lovely a Beach Boys cover could have been. Maybe Carl on lead with Mike, Brian and Bruce doing background vocals?

Surfer Dan by The Turtles which is technically a Beach Boys type of parody in the first place. BB would have made it a fun track and probably better with their harmonic blend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRQRxhjIsdM

Tracey Ullman "They Don't Know" http://youtu.be/DfRI1XjDFCUI heard the song the other day and thought of The Beach Boys! I'd like to hear Brian do a Spectorian production on this one, maybe bring in Hal for the drums, add some Beach Boys' harmonies, with Brian singing the lead in his "Matchpoint" voice.

I never liked that version & it's chiefly due to Tracey's whiney voice. Give me original by Kirsty MacColl any time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIsyQ2qCDQ8Not only it has great vocals, also fabtastic guitar solo in the middle. I'd like The BBs cover to be based on this one version.
