Rocket Number 9! Oh what a choice. Jesus, that'd be fabulous. Mike loves medleys, pop the ol' turban back on his head and mix it with "Interplanetary Music" plus "We Travel the Spaceways" with a Jardine lead folky twang section, and I'm in hog heaven!

I thought of another one last night, tell me what you think (this may have already been mentioned).

Another Jan & Dean one that I'd like them to try: "Summertime Summertime". Every time I hear that song/version, I hear The Beach Boys. With Joe Thomas producing and some (cough) "help", I'd love to hear Brian give that a whirl.

Here Comes The Flood by Peter Gabriel.
Preferably around Love You era vocals, Brian doing the chorus which would have them all on backing vocals, Dennis on verses, along with Love You type instrumentation.
Soft piano chords doubled with organ with that synth bass coming in on the end of verse parts 'As the waves...' and Brian's rudimentary drum part coming in at the chorus 'LORD *CRASH* *Bass drum on next 2 beats* Here comes the flood". Brian and Dennis would both sing 'Lord, Here comes the flood' with Carl joining them on the 'Here comes the flood' Brian singing it the way that PG Sings it on the record and Dennis going up on the 'Here comes the flood' part so instead of going: (g)Here (f)Comes (g)The (e#) Flood' he would go '(g)Here (bflat) comes (b)the (down to g) flood' and Carl singing (g)Here (up to d)Comes (d#)The ( down to c) Flood

The Ghost at Number One - Brian and Bruce! Pale and Precious - Brian and Jeff Shadowland - bring Carl back from the great beyond to do this lead Hush - more Jellyfish fun with harmonies from all When The Hangover Strikes - Brian and Mike I do I do I do, etc. - Brian and Mike Casaco Marrom - the boys sing in Portuguese; a Trio Esperanca song; another one would be the one about listening to the Beatles on the Victrola
That's all I can think of for now...

The Beatles/Vitrola song is called Rua Ramalhete: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDSVvemnykc&feature=relatedListen to this and go to heaven on the spot. Can't find the acappella version of Casaco Marrom, dangit. Toada would be a great BB number too, but can't find that either. You all just need to go out and buy TE's "Aquarela do Brasil" right now, I guess.

Not the greatest ideas but... Be My Baby - not sure if a "proper" version has been released but it would sound good I Write the Songs - BBs singing the backing vocals like a choir That would sound so cool Gone - I think Bruce was singing the "yeah she's gone" part then add the rest of the band's voice (They Long to Be) Close To You - imagine them doing the "wahh close to you" part in the Carpenters's version Love Will Keep Us Together - Brian pounding on the moog like Captain & Tennille

two songs, actaully.
'COMPETITION COUPE' (Usher-Christian) The Beach Boys could have ruled the world with this song as a single in 1963; well, ruled it more than they already did, that is.

I wish that they would do the Fleet Foxes song 'White Winter Hymnal.' It's an incredibly beautiful, mysterious, sad harmony song, and it's totally influenced by the BBs anyway.

Tonight, You Belong To Me! Al could totally do that in his best 'Aw, shucks' delivery. Get Brian on the descending harmony.

— A BBs version of VDP's 'Clang of The Yankee Reaper' would be a stonker. That's one of my all-time favorite songs by anyone. But to be perfectly honest, I can't really see it working as a BB song... Who do you think should take the lead here? My suggestion: Here, There and Everywhere. COTYR is amazing, and AL

Boy, I wish NRBQ's Tom Ardolino was still living. He idolized Brian and the BBs and it would have been interesting to call him and find out what Q song he thought they should cover.
