Hello
Just to say I have a new song up on my myspace and Facebook pages (better streaming on Facebook), it's called 'Doing the 9 to 5' and is off my new album 'The Secret of no Success' which will be out in Septemeber or October and is a sort of concept album about the world of work!
Anyway, please have a listen if you can, here is the link to my myspace page;

Checked it out, as I am a fan! One of the main riffs reminds me of a weezer tune...great stuff!

Thanks! And oh dear, I don't really know Weezer at all - is it very similar? Which song?!

Great. (I hate Weezer and thus am glad not to have heard a connection.) Love the electric rhythm guitar tone that opens the tune, as well as the solo.

A wah-wah was as important to me as a pick when I was 14, 15 years old. Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) was the gospel, as far as I was concerned.

Yes, that's quite a fun one to play - though I was never a Hendrix fan at all. I like the fact that you can set it at a point (without then pressing it up and down) and get interesting tones - I can hear where Page got a lot of his sounds from on the first couple of Zeppelin albums.

No reason to hate Weezer. They were once a great band!

OH GOD, i used to love that song.. Haven't heard it in ages...

Don't hear the similarity between that and yours, Mr. Zeus, which doesn't really matter because it's a great song! Let us know when the album's out...

Wait...you use to love this song and you dont hear the same melody in

"for I just threw out the love of my dreams"

to the main riff to zeus' track?

weird...

-edit-

and for the record...i dont think its a big deal. im not trying to be a downer...im a huge fan of the brigadier (valentine (be my?) is still constantly played)...just caught that similarity.

I had a listen to the Weezer track this morning before I went to work so am not that familiar with it yet but could hear the odd bit of phrasing that was similar - but I will have another listen when I get home!
As long as i'm not plagiarising!  Shocked
