I would love to agree with that, but I think the fact is there are just too many factions of fans with too many particular interests. The guy literally cannot win, in my opinion. If he did as you suggest, one currently annoyed group would be sated, and one currently sated group would start pining for fleshed-out arrangements.

I love this got revived with Shortenin' Bread! I play that every time i sit at a piano..... I mean, if Neu! did it it'd be seen as a krautrock masterpiece  LOL

The specific moment kicking my own posterior right now is Ol' Man River (Vocal Section). Too beautiful. I want an Ol' Man River boxset!

I can't pick just one.  It changes all the time.  The acapella part of Why do Fools Fall in Love from the remaster on the SLS album stands out at this moment.  Only because I haven't changed the disc in my drive to work car in about 3 months.  I'm geting VERY familiar with these songs. Tongue

Can someone please tell me why the Beach Boys are so underrated?

I'm listening to 'In the Back of my Mind' backing track.....just got done listening to 'Kiss Me Baby' and 'Til I Die'....I am in complete amazement at Brian Wilson's ability to write all of this....

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

"ragegasm" - /rāj • ga-zəm/ : a logical mental response produced when your favorite band becomes remotely associated with the bro-country genre.

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

Absolutely amazing isn't it? Try singing the lyrics over the ITBOMM backing track, it is not easy at all, kudos to Denny!

ahhhhh it's such a brilliant song (with or without vocals).

OK, yet another hind-kicking moment: the bass line in 'She Knows Me Too Well' is phenomenal.....well, the whole song kicks ass!  Grin

I've been really into Fall Breaks And Back To Winter lately. What an odd, deceptively complicated little song.

The moment at 1.58 in "You Still Believe In Me" when the whole band come in with a vocal blast that is just chilling. Even better on the vocal only version. Of course.  Grin

15 Big Ones and Love You.

i used to avoid these albums like the plague.  but then i received them when i won a Beach Boys vinyl auction on ebay.  i finally gave them both a fair shot and i can't get them out of my head.  sure there are some clunkers but there are some gems also.

i think i'm gonna go listen to them now.
