Wearing pants up to your tits whilst showing off your massive package on national television up to 1965. Oh, and bathrobes.

Using 'God' in a song title. Not once, but twice!

Did I miss some very funny video of Brian eating large amount of food on national television? Have you link for that?

also, a package could be a container for anything. I consider anything in a big brown cardboard box a package, for instance. there could be shoes in there. or books. anything, really.

Brian Wilson made sincerity cool.
(cf. that quote from the Smile era where he stated that sincerity was the new hip; that always resonated with me as an insightful, intuitive bit of self-awareness and commitment to his inimitable art.)

Brian Wilson made silliness, goofball-ness, unconscious humor, and general marshmallow mysticism cool.
(cf. the "Psycodelic Sounds" reel; to me it was an approach that had the potential for sublimity that sadly was never realized, and it baffles me why so many folks, even hardcore fans, see nothing in these exercises.)

I think Brian did make some of these things cool, like destroying your voice through a hedonistic lifestyle. and beards.

To be honest, I've never really seen the similitude between those two tracks (apart from both of them being directed at "babies" and having some aspects of instrumentation/production in common).

I think you can play DWB like BMB (see: 73 In Concert, which really plays on it/works) and it's totally written as a girl group tune (didn't Brian want to give it to The Ronettes?). But IDK about a rip-off - one doesn't remind me of the other. The melodies in the verses are a bit similar and they both start in E, mind (DWB changes key sublimely).

Phillip Lambert touches on how similar Be My Baby and Don't Worry Baby are in Songwriter 1962-1969. IIRC, the verses share an almost identical chord progression.
