Tribute Album 2 (kinda)
«

I was enjoying the new SStribute Album we just got together and was thinking...
How 'bout an album covering other artists but done in the BB style? Obviously there isn't one BB style, but that sort of gives everyone a lot of latitude. So, for instance, you could do Cortez the Killer (by Neil Young) in the style of the Smiley Smile album. Any takers?
I think I'll try I'm on Fire by the boss in a Summer days sorta way...
P.S. I cannot actually be the guy pulling this together, only the guy with the idea, so it hinges on others interest and skill.

Oh I'm on! This time I will try to be out in time and not record the entire thing the day before deadline.
I'm thinking The Statler Brothers' "Flowers On The Wall" in the style of "Got To Know The Woman" had it been recorded for

I would like to Beach-Boys up 'Sunny Skies' by James Taylor.
I would also like to give someone the idea of 'Mr Wilson' by John Cale, seeing as it's a tribute to the big BW

Right now I have STP's Interstate Love song with a 5-part harmony arrangement, but I need a better backing track before I will upload it anywhere. For shits & grins I also am working on an arrangement of Lady Gaga's Poker Face, done with a Pet Sounds-style arrangement. I just need a bass harmonica lol.

That's a must-hear!
Right now, I'm also working on a "Surfin' USA"-like version of "Speedy Gonzales".

I think this will be real cool.
Hey Jared, I plan on doing the backing vox myself, but maybe I can get you to do some leads (I'm pretty crappy in that area)? PM me if ya wanna try it!

This is a great idea for a compilation!
Has there been set a deadline for when people have to have their covers ready?

No deadline. Sometime in summer, maybe? Right now I'm having a ton of trouble with tracking the ending of Sweet Child...
Can't seem to work it out right. So, anyway, take as long as you like.

Could always do what Sheryl Crow did and cut most of the ending.
