Check it out, a few paragraphs down, Ms. Ross is still a bummer. Only this time, she showed up. That's just the problem. Also, Bruce is a "longtime Beach Boys guitarist".
'tis insignificant... though..not really a question.

For me, the board is white text on a black background. 37iWS says the background is white for him.
Besides staring for a while, blinking, and then looking at a white wall, how can I capture his experience?

+1 for anyone else who had to read this six times before noticing the difference.
Maybe whoever typed the tracklists on the twofers wanted to make light of Brian's affair with Diane. My money's on Mike Love being the culprit.

Does anybody have a good quality scan of the picture of Dennis that appeared on the "Death Of A Beach Boy" magazine article(I can't remember the name of the magazine)? I'm looking for the picture itself, not the magazine cover.

When the group played It's OK in the early 1980's, who did the "find a ride" lyric?

I know this was a very rough time for the group, but why are only Mike and Brian present. There was a big fallout this year, Bambu got shelved and Dennis got divorced and fell into depression. Carl was getting alcohol problems. But Al was still onboard with Mike and Brian for the MIU album which was recorded this year. Any idea why all 3 of them failed to show up?

Because that's Celebration (Mike's side-project) with Brian guesting. Or at least that's what I get from the title at least. In any case it doesn't say anywhere that that's the Beach Boys.

This is the song they did there:

Almost Summer. So it's indeed Celebration, not The Beach Boys.

When the Shut Down Vol. 2 items were found (idk) about 5 years ago (when the new mix/intro of Why do Fools Fall in Love & Don't Worry Baby) was found, what else was found? I thought they found multi tracks for This Car of Mine, In the Parking Lot, and Denny's Drums; am I wrong? Is there anything new or special to release from that?

Brian does it now. I have heard one version of the song from 1982, and I onestly can't figure out who it is. It sounds like Dennis, but you would think that with his voice problems, he would try to sing as little as possible.

When was the last time Mike Love played sax in concert?
Is it always just the Shut Down solo? has he played sax on anything else live?
I read he played sax on "What'd I Say". Consider that a rumor rather than a fact. It could be a fact, but I just don't know.

I know these days, folks talk up things, like the new Dallas series says the season finale (tonight) will rival that of the episode 'A House Divided' (AKA Who Shot JR?). and that leads me to TWGMTR and how reviewers and others are saying it has the sound and vibe of Pet Sounds, Sunflower, and SMiLE. I'm not saying that's untrue, but I'd like to hear some examples of how that is? What parts of the album come off sounding like the previous albums I've mentioned? Don't get me wrong, I love the album to death, I just wanna hear what you folks have to say in regards to relating those albums to this album.
Sometimes I just think we jump to the gun (no pun intended) and try to surpass other items from the past or at least live up to the expectation of it all.

Strange World has a lil bit of the Pet Sounds vibe. A big sound. There's a YSBIM reference too (bicycle bell/horn).
From There To Back Again and Summer's Gone have more of the Pet Sounds/SMiLE sound - check out the stunted, Hal Blaine-esque fills on the former, and the tack piano on the later. Specifically, Summer's Gone recalls Caroline, No in a big way. No need for explaining, just listen to them back to back and you'll hear it.
I hear some Sunflower/Surf's Up vibe in Pacific Ocean Highway. The lush harmonies and somber tone recall 'Til I Die.

I also thought Strange World had an Imagination vibe to it (wouldnt be surprised if it was written then), I can't recall what was all written back then and what was written now.

Is it bad that, for quite a while, it reminded me only of the horn honking in "Take A Load Off Your Feet" (without thinking it was a direct reference)?
