Keith was instrumental in making Bruce's spring 1966 London trip a huge success. Basically, no Moonie, no John & Paul in Bruce's hotel room listening to Pet Sounds.

And... wouldn't you have just loved to tag along with Bruce & Keith for those few days ?  We're talking the chalkiest chalk and the cheesiest cheese here.  Grin

Am I going crazy or was a thread asking the board if they had to only keep the pre Smile work or the post Smile work, which one would it be?

And if it exists, could someone post the link? I can't find it, but I could have sworn it was a thread here.

Are there any stories of Keith meeting the other Beach Boys? I feel like he and Dennis would've gotten along like brothers.

The audio is a remix from "An American Band".  It's not an officially released mix and the entire song is not featured in the movie which is why it cuts off.

Curious about little bits I've seen in threads here and there that don't go in to great detail that call Dennis a racist? I glimpsed over something to do with two African-American people who worked for him and sexual assaulted him or something to that manner... anybody have any insight? Feel free to correct me of course but I remember seeing something from long ago on the board but can't seem to find it.

During the coda of the song When I Grow Up (To Be a Man), as Brian starts to sing "it's kinda sad", Mike has a background vocal that I can't quite make out.

Anyone know what it is?

Totally agree. I wonder if Brian tinkering with it again in 1975 helped inspire the A/C tracks.

No, unfortunately it's a very distant, echo drenched audience tape. One interesting thing about it though is that you could make out just enough of Dennis's vocal to tell that his voice had completely changed by then.

Who drew the 'That Lucky Old Sun' album cover? I know the album is (loosely) based around the Peter Blake painting but this is a totally different style and can't see any google evidence that it is him. The reason I ask, is that I would like to get a copy without the text on the front of it and locating the artist seems like the first logical step to this...
