Same here. He did mention not too long ago that there was a few things in the works regarding unreleased material to be planned out in the future.

All wrong. I have it on good authority that it will be:
A 4-CD box set titled: 'The Summer In Paradise Sessions'. With a Mike Love-approved booklet. Isn't that just great?

I'm bettin' it's another Pet Sounds release. Super Deluxe Edition!
This might be valid - Pet Sounds hasn't be reissued for several months now.

I think that would be great, regardless of quality. More unreleased Beach Boys music!

I can't help but think "new Brian album" - it's been reason in the past for the website getting overhauled.
But there've been no reports of any intense studio activity to my knowledge. Could BW pull off a surprise album without the likes of AGD knowing?

Still Cruisin'/Summer in Paradise would actually be a really bad twofer, and not just because the albums aren't good. It's because of the oldies in the middle. I burned myself a Still Cruisin'/Summer in Paradise twofer and was listening to it in the car with my family on a long trip somewhere. They were enjoying Still Cruisin'. BUT! After "I Get Around", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "California Girls", Summer in Paradise (which, if you don't compare it to the band's past works might not sound bad) can not properly follow three of their greatest hit singles. My mother turned it off after "Summer of Love".

Ah, but if they dropped the oldies and added some of the lost 80's tracks (RNR to Rescue, Spirit of RNR, Lady Liberty etc) then you've got yourself a modern day 20/20. I'd buy that for a dollar (or ten).

Maybe they're going to take down the "Happy Holidays from Brian Wilson" that's still on the site, lol. Actually, they might as well leave it up now. But really, I'm excited to hear the big announcement, too

I'm really interested to see what it is but at the same time I have a feeling that I will be disappointed. I hope I'm wrong though.
