I was driving around yesterday and it struck me how odd the Dennis speaking over ITBOMM track is on hawthorne. Why in the universe did denny ever do that voice-over, or was it something the producers threw together? Just wonderin...

still, who was he talking to in that  snippet? Us, the fans? Brian? The interviewer? Its just such a weird statement if it wasn't intended to be heard by folks.

Nicely done, only one word off! (Sometimes, not seriously)

It's a good track to end a comp with, when you have less than a minute left, not enough for a whole song, and you want Dennis' voice on it because you probably didn't include many of his songs anyway. It makes a cool closer; I edit/splice the track to 50 seconds.

That song is weird. It's like Brian knew what was going to happen to himself by then. Eerily prophetic.

I think there is a word for it in Spanish or Portuguese: duende, i.e. 'your fate is sealed', without really knowing what that fate is.

Ok, I see I'm doing a bad job trying to explain what exactly is blowing my mind. I want to know under what circumstances Dennis recorded his spoken part that was later used over the track of In the back of my mind. I agree that it sounds awesome and there is no mystery as to why it was used, only where the original came from.

Isn't it from the Radio Luxembourg interview Mike announces at the start of the disc? I heard they prepared an entire thing to send off to the station in California, so it might be that. Then again, lots of the other stuff is from Endless Harmony, so that's not definite.
