Maybe off topic but not really,,,,,,,,,,,,
I have a missing 17 year old....going on 3 weeks. Lovely child. My youngest. Stubborn and simply gone. Just finished high school. She left for a while, came back, graduated and left within a week..again. Sad, but, not unlike others such as Steve M. who have experienced a wrenching loss, sometimes our online contacts and virtual friends are close as actual family or friends.....
Found myself sitting here alone and started up the computer.........
I hope she is just craving adventure but I sure wish she would just let me know...

Do let us know what happens in that. It's one thing singing about that kind of deal, but a WHOLE other one when it's happening in real life.

Donald, I hope and pray that your prayers are answered, seriously. When was she last seen/ heard from...? Don't have to answer, but either way know that this "online smileysmilebeachboylovingcommunity" is aware and feels for you...we are there for you...together we pray...

Thanks everyone. Guess I had a couple of beers last nite before I posted that. It is hard to share but sometimes it has to come out. It colors every day in its own way. Sometimes I'm ok but there are times when it eclipses everything else.

Hope this works out... my own kid is only 13 weeks old but that attachment is all...
You've probably searched all the "community" places like Facebook to see whether there's any activity there?
I wish there were ways we could help. If there are, just say the word.

Arrested on the way to the Rainbow gathering in NM for being a minor and some technical infractions. Flew out, got her released, did some sight seeing and lost her again when I (foolishly?) took her back to the gathering to retrieve her belongings. Going home tomorrow without her.

You have some mighty patience Donald, and let me commend you for that. I was raised under an iron fist and can't even imagine myself pulling something like that. I wish you the best, I hope she returns home safe and sound!

I've been back home now for 5 days. No response from her and no reports or sightings. Oddly enough, some rainbow gathering people I left her picture with, put it on the web on youtube, asking her or anyone seeing her to encourage her to call home. Thats as much help and support as I have recieved from anyone. I certainly came away from that experience with a much more favorable opinion of the Rainbow people. I'm doing ok. I'm worried that my wife isn't.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
