Lady, that band picture isn't from 1972. It's mislabeled on the page the link goes to. Carl wasn't clean shaven past Fall of 1971, save for about a week in 1977.

Carl grew his beard in the summer of 1970. I think that picture was taken in the sprng of 1970. Lady the first Brian one is from 1971 and the second taken from the back of Holland so yes that is 1972. Here are some pictures of Brian between 1970-75. If someone wants to post them on here that's fine. I can help date them better then. I also put a shot of Carl growing back his beard in 1977.
