I'd love to see some people's collections.

I've only really started buying music of any sort three years ago, so mine's comparitively small.

LPs
Little Deuce Coupe; I think this is a later reissue because it says EMI on it
high water; 70s double LP featuring their 60s hits on sides 1 and 2 and the 1964 concert on 3 and 4
Party!
SMiLE
Smiley Smile and Wild Honey from SimplyVinyl are coming in the mail

CDs
CDR of Pet Sounds; missing Caroline No
CDR of Smile
CDR of Good Timin': Live at Knebworth
Surfin' Safari/Surfin' USA two-fer
Surfer Girl/Shut Down Vol. II two-fer
Smiley Smile/Wild Honey two-fer
Friends/20/20 two-fer
SMiLE
What I Really Want For Christmas
some Christmas compilation (can't recall the title) with Little Saint Nick
CDR of Adult Child coming in the mail
Disney's Beach Party; this is by a different band but was produced by Mark Linett and features Jeff Fosket and Darian Sahanaja on backing vocals -- thought it deserved a mention

DVDs
An American Band/I Just Wasn't Made For These Times

I have over 700 Beach Boys CDs, do I really have to list them all? All the studio albums, all the bootlegged studio material, and over 250 live shows.

I have all the official original released albums bar 'Still Cruisin'' and 'Une Saison En Enfer (Summer In Paradise)'  I know my life isn't really complete, is it?

I have all official BW album releases but no other BB solo albums.  I've heard POB but don't rate it.  I've never heard 'Don't Look Back With Love' -  again, my life's bereft.

In a 1995 article in Uncut magazine Bruce Johnston says when asked if he personally possesses every Beach Boys album ever released (and though I am quoting from memory I think it's as near verbatim as doesn't matter):  "Why would I want to own all of those?  Most of them are sh!t!"

Looks like I've already got too many as it is!  Smiley

I'm pretty satisfied by my collection. I have basically everything worth having. Nothing left on vinyl or CD to pursue. I'm going to a record show Sunday, but the chances of finding anything new is getting slimmer and slimmer. I think I have just about everthing, although I think there may be some live gigs floating around that I haven't gotten (yet).

I found a video tape of uncut footage of Brian doing interviews and hanging out at his house with Elvis Costello  at last year's show, so you never know.

I'm hoping to find some recordings from last summers US tour.

Well, I do need a copy of "The Wilson Project" book. There's something I need.

"Maybe the Beach Boys have got you now
With those waves singing Caroline no
Rollin’ down that empty ocean road
Gettin’ to the surf on time.

Long may you run.
Long may you run.
Although these changes have come
With your chrome heart shining in the sun
Long may you run"

I think Nascar is actually good fun. I like it. Nice to hear "Ole' Betsy" taken out for a spin.

Aside from that, well, the only other mandatory purchase is Al's PT Cruiser CD single. Buy 1,000 of the for only $999.00!

What else do you need? Mike started the Beach Boys, and wrote all their great songs. I found that out when Mike Love and the Beach Boys guested on Baywatch. Get with it, man.
