 I think your lyric is better than the original.

It changes it from being a creepy af song to a hilarious song about a bird of prey just trying to find a mate.

Something about Brian being around synthesizers and recorded drum tracks or drum machines just doesn't make sense.  Brow It's like Slash playing a Fender. It just shouldn't happen.

Not only in my mind, but I usually tend to sing "pretty things like insects and flowers".

I thought that was the lyric for years, and I still sing it that way.
