On the rare occasions when I get to a beach, I like to float out on the water and think about "'Til I Die."  But reality always invades my thoughts and my mind changes the lyric to "I'm a dork on the ocean."

Is there any Beach Boys lyric that your mind always wants to transform into something else?

No matter what, I always hear that line from "Anna Lee, the Healer" as "she kills people with her hands, I'm just one of her many fans".

When I was a kid I always thought Al was singing "Well since she put me down, I bet I'll do it in my head" on 'Help Me Rhonda' and being a stupid kid I didn't care that it didn't any make sense at all, I just loved the sound of the record.

There are more but none I can think of right now.

Not that my mind wants to... but it's impossible for me not to notice how much "little girl" sounds like the N-word in A Thing Or Two. Ever since I read that in the 'misheard vocals' thread, I've been suffering through it (because I like the song). I was really hoping that the stereo remix might help, but it didn't :(

This isn't technically answering the question as asked, but whenever I hear Dennis doing the bass vocal part to the L.A. Light Album version of Shortnin' Bread, I can't help but think that he's delighting in making it sound as overly sexual as possible.  :lol

I never mistook it for something else, but when I first listened to "Don't Back Down" I had no idea what Brian's chorus lyrics were:

 I think your lyric is better than the original.

It changes it from being a creepy af song to a hilarious song about a bird of prey just trying to find a mate.

I love the idea of BW messing around in an 1980s studio though :lol

Something about Brian being around synthesizers and recorded drum tracks or drum machines just doesn't make sense.  :brow It's like Slash playing a Fender. It just shouldn't happen.
