Oh Lord
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7I1O3__tjg&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
This song makes me depressed.
Same here, first time i listened to it, i went into a weird depressed mood.
Its like hearing demons ripping at Brian's heart or something. I wonder what Mike thinks of it.
He would cry because this song is a musical summary of Brian's lost years of drugs and mental illness. I almost cried first time I listened to this because its so sad. Brian would probably cry for hours and shutdown mentally hearing this now in 2011 with his memories of life along with memories of Dennis in this period.
I wonder if they'll put this in the biopic?? 100% guaranteed it won't be in it, but it would be an incredible testament to how rough life got for Brian. It's one of the saddest recorded songs I've ever heard.
Thats what i was just thinking myself, a scene of the recording of this song would be a great summary of the lost years without going into the graphic details of drug use and mental illness that happened during this period.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Are you kidding, that's terrible. You can barely hear the track, just Brian blasting on piano. From what I gather on the box, they've take some of the keys out...

Great Shape. Just reckon they've spent so long getting the tracks to sync that they forgot to sort out the fact that the BW demo is incredibly loud

Granted I don't think it was as "terrible" as you made it sound, I went ahead and cleaned it up a bit, and also added two other stereo remixes I put together. Check it out

Although Carl has an off day in this vid and the flute bit is a tad too long, this is actually a very good video!

Here's an old French commercial, one of my first encounters with the Beach Boys. I was 1 or 2 at the time, but I remember liking this ad a lot, it's one of my earliest memories, if not the earliest.

Sorry mate, if I realised it was your work I wouldn't have been so bald with my criticism! I'm on SMiLE detox until my box arrives, so I'll defer from listening just now. But hell, I've never tried to do that level of SMiLE mixing, so I can't talk really

No offense but when you don't know the language of a song you want to sing...you may not want to sing it.
