I don't think I've seen this video about BWRG before:

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Sorry if posted before but an interesting interview with Phil Spector mentioning Brian:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYBjOywJwLI

He is off his trolley!!
Dang, Phil Spector is jealous of Brian and shows it by saying BS about how good vibrations was an edit record. Brian knows how "be my baby works", he is just amazed by song and what it inspired it to do. I always get a kick out of seeing spector bash Brian in interviews, while Brian acts like Phil is the coolest and best record producer ever.

Has Phil Spector ever talked about Pet Sounds? I actually wonder if Pet Sounds made Phil Spector crazy!!

I think so because the teacher (Phil) was schooled by the student (Brian) after the early years where Phil treated Brian like crap when Brian was trying to learn from him.

Pay careful attention at about 46 seconds into this clip. This might be the earliest film of Brian where you can tell something isn't quite right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AKkFfOcWHk&feature=related
Could someone please repost this?

Brian's voice is so weird on GOK, and Brian making a political statement was odd as well.

Not to be rude, but I got the distinct feeling that Brian was just saying what Landy told him to, and really didn't know what he was talking about.

I'd have no problem if they go back to even some of these old unfinished songs for a reunion-album to tell you the truth

Me neither, young Brian was just a great song-writer to the point where his old unreleased stuff is still fun to listen to today.
