I really haven't got a clue what's going on in this very recent Japanese TV show , but whatever is going on looks rather funny - A sketch about the true meaning of the song Sumahama ( i think/guess )

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6QHRI_lurk

Can anyone please translate ?  Cheesy

Nice look at the new CDs.
Maybe someone will translate if you post it in one of the concert theads. It seems that not too many members look at the media section

Worth is to see Mike correcting the guys at the end and singing a bit of Sumahama!

And what's with the Japanese Bob Dylan look-alike at the right near the beginning???

I don't think that sounds like the Beach Boys at all, actually. just sounds like another 60s band with similar instrumentation. the vocal kind of sounds like Carl but not 1964 Carl.

It totally does. Just compare it to his lead on "Pom pom playgirl" for example.

I highly recommend "Hitler buys the new Beach Boys Album". He tries to hold back his rage while listening to Daybreak Over The Ocean.

The Beach Boys at one of their absolute lowest...

I don't know but this might be the tour they did with Jerry Lee Lewis. Carl was sick IIRC

sadly that's already been blocked by EMI. I bet there's someone whose job it is just to watch this thread and then report the videos to youtube.

Interestingly, they seem to be singing the backing vocal in Surf's Up as "my god, my god".

Lipsynching to "Barbara Ann" (the single record!!) with their whole backup band. Carl not there, Al looking like throwing up at any second. And if I'm not misremembering there were some cheerleaders.
You'd probably not be wanting to see it a second time. As I said, the band at it's lowest

This gets overlooked so often. Carl as part of an all star backup band for Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry:
