Nice one, Mr C. :=)

Well, that's the "Classic Five"...

Next up is Bruce (something with "curb", methinks). Or Murry ("satyr" and "rum"?). Or David ("diva"??).

Where's Rasmus when he's needed?  Grin

Blondie and Ricky are proving troublesome. This underwhelming attempt (featuring the ubiquitous Al in an unexpected role) takes an oblique look at "Leaving This Town"----by sea, apparently, possibly at night:

They don't all have to be palindromes, y'all. Could anything fan-poetic, really - even X-massy ones!!!

No sooner said than etc. It's no masterpiece but quite fun if you're p***ed (so I've been told).
This is to be sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells". It's about the BW concert I saw in London in 2008. The bold bits are on the beat (less visible here unfortunately):

CHORUS I:
Kenwood House, here I come
Much to my surprise
Carrying a hamper full
Of wine 'n' cheese 'n' pies, oh
Found row three, in block C
Deckchairs in the grass
Guzzling free Jacques Cider With Fruit
And crashing on our ass

VERSE:
Later when I heard
That the concert was quite bad
The atmosphere turned blue
I was hopping mad
When AGD explained
I felt kinda sad
But when I thought back on all I'd seen
Well I was f***ing glad, so...

CHORUS II:
Kenwood House, there I was
Chuffed and thrilled to bits
Brian Wilson and the guys
Churning out the hits, oh
Then we all sang a round
"Row, row, row your boat"
Bellowing along to every song
I wrecked my f***ing throat

The concert really did get a bad review----even from band members ("Brian might as well not have been there!")----but I loved every minute of it. So did this Japanese guy sitting next to me. He was a serious Wild Honey fan and I'll never forget the expression on his face when they launched into "I'd Love Just Once to See You"... (Jacques Cider was that evening's sponsor.)

I was at that one too, and to be honest I don't remember it being that bad either (though I certainly did partake in the silly cider, which may have made a difference).  "I'd Love Just Once To See You" was a particular delight (though I think I was the only person in my immediate vicinity who knew it).  I've been to worse, anyway.

It was my lone BB-related concert, so I have nothing to compare it to. As for "ILJOTSY", I never thought I'd find myself yelling "IN THE NUDE!" along with a bunch of complete strangers.

< Debut nude U.S. Mike: "Eek! I'm sued! Untubed!" >

I'm sure someone can improve on that! Grin

I'll try... So here comes yet another haiku-palindrome (just Love 'em!), this time inspired by John (godt nytår!) and hai(ku)jacked by myself. The word "debut" might refer to Mike's ditto as an 'executive producer' back i '92 (see other haiku-drome shown below!) And as always: "No offence meant (and none taken)"...

      >DEBUT TUBED<                                                                       [haiku-palindrome by John K/Li'l~palin'drom'erBoy]

>"Debut 'nude us', Mikee!
    (M.E. Love = Vole 'M')
Eek! I'M sued! UN-tubed!"<

We're definitely making progress, Rasmus. To your valiant efforts I shall add a "Mike-u" of my own:

"It weren't me", says Mike,
"Capitol resisted change.
I'm just the scapegoat!"

Palindromic AND senrYUle-tidy (3/3/3) as originally created by John K:

Happy new year! And like we say in Denmark: 'Yuletide lasts until easter!'
So here are two of JOHN K's new 'dromes, morphed into one haiku-palindrome by Li'l~palin'drom'erBoy (about Alan, the producer, working his Red Barn Studio - not a perfect haiku-drome, but rather two separate ones - 1+3 & 2):

   >GO, O MOOG!<

>Editor Al: "Let's go!"

    (Al nixes sex in L.A.)

"O moog! Stellar! O tide!<

Let's keep this fine thread going with the last verse of my Christmas rewrite "The Twelve Days of Beach Boys"---I assume everyone knows the tune:

On the twelfth day of Christmas, the Beach Boys gave to me
Twelve Dennies drumming
Eleven Rhondas helping
Ten winds a-blowing
Nine monsters mashing
Eight showboats crawling
Seven Hondas roaring
Six surfers rocking
Five gold discs
Four Disney girls
Three moon dawgs
Two cuckoo clocks
And a day in the life of a tree

In conclusion (Pa rum pum pum pum):

    Haiku-palindromes
are LIKE-U tallyin' tomes
"Mike TOO!", Alan drones

Thanx to JOHN the K (primarily - AND for the carolling!!) we can now add 3 new haiku-dromes - + a senryu-one to this Beach Boys collection of poetry pearls & puns...
Take-a-gander at the latest one(s) here:

>NEVER 'ODD' OR EVEN...<     [haiku-palindrome(s) by D Cunningham/Li'l~palin'drom'erBoy/John k]

     >Yon air ... Brian! OY!<

I've been racking my brains for days trying to organize a palindrome based around Anna Lee. This is as far as I've got----the middle sentence needs working on. Any ideas, Rasmus?

<Al was Anna Lee's exam pupil. "Saga" slip-up maxes eel. Anna saw L.A.>

Maybe, John. Here goes:
                                                                                                                                                                                     >PUPIL SLIP-UP<                     [an irregular haiku-palindrome by John k/Li'l~palin'drom'erBoy]
>An 'Al' was Anna Lee's
exam pupil. "Saga slip-up" ...
maxes eel. Anna SAW Lana!<

And without being too anal-retentive about it, there is the old one from Quzi:
"Lana deified anal" - and my follow up:
"Anna Lee a.k.a. 'Eel-Anna'!" with the unavoidable non-palindromic conclusion:
- which WOULD make them 'anna-lee: The Healers ...'

You nailed it, Rasmus, as always. :=)

Speaking of being anal-retentive, I have a naughtier Lana palindrome----involving Al in L.A.----which I shall leave to everyone's imagination.  Cool Guy
