It has found its place on most of my customised 2-CD BBs compilations for other people. Good song.

Personally I find that even when performed by the C50 band It`s OK doesn`t sound great in a live setting.

I agree that for whatever reason it doesn't sound good in a live setting. Maybe it's due to the absence of the synth bass.

Like we were discussing in another thread about California Girls, I think they play it a tad slow. I know when they add Dance, Dance, Dance in the set, that sounds a bit slow too.

The Brianista Prayer

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.

Agreed. That was basically the only complaint I had about the C50 I saw, It's OK and a couple of other songs played late in the set (like Rock and Roll Music) were a little slow and lacked punch.

Isn't it a Brian thing to slow down tempos, too? That may have been why the C50 songs were slower, or both sides of the band agreed to it.

Tempos have generally been slow since Dennis's death.  ( One of my favorite aspects of Dennis's drumming was his ability to push the tempos) Carl's return brought a keyboard heavy sound and eventually slowed down tempos.

I agree that it was not a highlight of the c50 shows. But at the m&b shows leading up to c50, it was often performed at a much faster tempo as part of the opening set, and sounded great!
