Oh those crazy lists. Was it just me or did anyone else laugh when they saw Mozart's name on there? I don't think that's what the list makers were looking for.

George Harrison? Leonard Cohen? Sounds like some serious ballot-box stuffing may be going on.

also, Mozart is on the list? surely it's very hard to put him into a modern context and to 'rank him' next ot all the others. plenty of classical composers would trumph half the modern people on this list if this were anything fair or unbiased.

Good to see that many at least don't object to Brian being among the best music writers. I spot plenty I would never consider for the title. It's all about which forums mobilise their members the most to vote for their respective artist really  Grin

Billy Joel is there, lower on the list. I notice Michael DeMartin has gotten in on the act, telling people on Facebook to vote for Brian.  Between that and this board, there's suddenly a surge of voting for Brian and he's Number 3. It's a little hard to overtake Dylan and Lennon/McCartney.

I only voted Dylan down because of that. I would have done the same for the 1st one, if it wasn't Lennon/McCartney.
