409 and Sloop John B (the only reason I'm not voting off Long Tall Texan this early in the vote is because it actually IS a country song...lol...and the only studio version of it we have but I won't vote for it as my favorite)

Don't think you'll get a chance to wait.  It'll be long, tall, and gone back to Texas.  Nashville can be so cruel.

This is the way the world Ends. This is the way the world Ends. This is the way the world Ends.

Not with a bang, but a whimper...

At least until That's Why God Made the Radio came out, most of us assumed that this would be the Beach Boys swan song.

Quote
Stars and Stripes Vol. 1 is the twenty-eighth studio album by American rock band The Beach Boys, released on August 19, 1996 on River North Records. Produced by both Joe Thomas and Brian Wilson, Stars and Stripes Vol. 1 is a collaborative album with various country musicians. Despite its Vol. 1 sub-title, the album is the band's only venture into the genre of country pop music, and is the last studio album to feature founding member Carl Wilson who died in 1998.

Long Tall Texan was Supernawed by 11 smilers.

The poor cook, he caught he fits and threw away all of Flo's grits. (Cool

I am not sure how difficult to find this album is; here is a link to a few of the songs. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8B292A4F2EA6E853

As per the usual, vote off your TWO LEAST FAVORITE tracks.

Tally on May 22nd

Don't Worry Baby with Lorrie Morgan
409 with Junior Brown
The Warmth of the Sun with Willie Nelson
I Can Hear Music with Kathy Troccoli
Caroline, No with Timothy B. Schmit

Round#1 - Be True to Your School with Toby Keith May 14
Round#2 - I Get Around with Sawyer Brown May 16
Round#2 - Fun, Fun, Fun with Ricky Van Shelton May 16
Round#3 - Help Me, Rhonda with T. Graham Brown May 18
Round#3 - Little Deuce Coupe with James House May 18
Round#4 - Sloop John B with Collin Raye May 20
Round#4 - Long, Tall Texan with Doug Supernaw May 20

My vote goes to  409 with Junior Brown and Caroline, No with Timothy B. Schmit.

BTW, I dig Junior Brown's version of "409." That was my intro to Brown, and my husband discovered his music independently around the same time. We've seen him several times in concert -- he is one phenomenal guitarist.

This is going about how I expected.  Two more and we're at the final.
I like some of Junior's stuff, and he's a pretty good guitar player - but "409" won't do.  Lorrie does nothing for her track.  Man they picked the wrong artists for this record.
bang, bang, and bang again!  and one more bang in hopes that I'll never hear them again:
"409" - sorry Emdeeh, I've seen Junior live too - but he didn't do this one.  Guess he's broke down, south of Dallas.
and "Don't Worry Baby"
.
.
.
EDIT:  pixletwin,  I want to change one of my votes.
After shuting down last night I thought about something...Two posters, Emdeeh and Matt H, I think for the first time in this round said they actually Liked a song.  Let me honor that.
Change "409" to:
"I Can Hear Music"
