I have been dubbed Mr. Pet Sounds and Mr. Country Love by polite and honored board member Smile Brian. I hope I live up to those esteemed titles.

Seriously? Big Sur is already out? That's hands down my favorite song on the album. I vote for Funky Pretty.

Only With You. Steamboat is awesome! I'm glad there's no votes for The Trader yet. Shame Big Sur went. I like it a lot.

I'm not trying to judge anyone for not liking Funky Pretty, or wanting it off this early, but Blondie's vocal, especially in the last minute, is so amazing. It just knocks me out. His vocal is among the most awe inspiring moments in maybe not just the post Smile stuff, but in the whole BB's catalog. I could go on about the song, but words don't really do greatness justice.
"Funky Pretty" is the worst damn song on the album. Think of Holland with a closing track as good as the opener. "Funky Pretty" isn't it. The live version is better, for sure.

This is tough because these are all essential tracks. For the first 20 years of my fandom (1991-2011ish) I didn't "get" Steamboat. But now finally I do. My vote goes to:

Funky Pretty is quirky, funny, melodically inventive, Brian at his unique, eccentric best. Sail on Sailor is the sort of sing-along pub-rock song that sounds like it could've been recorded by any 1970's rock band.
