Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

My guess is this will come down to This Whole World, Forever, and All I Wanna Do. I will actually be sad if All I Wanna Do gets voted off. None of the results from the others albums have saddened me, but seeing All I Wanna Do lose will make me cry tears.

You might well be right… I'm already disheartened though by the lack of love for CCW… that was one of the tracks that hooked me on the BBs in my early fan days…

This Round is going to get heavy on comments.  Already up to three pages.  Woodstock's top three is not mine.  There is only one weak track on Sunflower:
.
"Tears In The Morning" gets my vote now, then I only have one more to pick on before this gets "so tough" to type in another that I may have to fold 'til the final.  We'll see.  As you Brits say, I'll have to keep a stiff upper lip and soldier on.
.
This record has one of my very favorite Dennis songs, but that is not "Forever," it's "Slip On Through."  And one of my very favorite of all Beach Boys songs, "Our Sweet Love."  It will be difficult to see them treated roughly.
But Hey, that's the way it goes when you have a catalogue like theirs.

Eh? Clear loser maybe, but I don't see such a clear winner for this album. I think it'll be a very contested vote.

Hard to think of an album with a more obvious most popular track and least popular track than "All Summer Long"

Agreed on the Dennis part. Forever is one of Dennis's and the BB's best songs, but so is Slip On Through and It's About Time, which I both prefer over Forever. Though I would still be satisfied if Forever wins. We'll see what happens

Depending on my mood, I would say the final four tracks of the album could easily win.

That's funny--I prefer the first two tracks of the album--different strokes. It's great to see such a revered album receiving such interest in this Survivor poll

Yeah, it wouldn't be the same without it!

Seriously though, GTNTW is the weakest Denny track off Sunflower, though it's still better than a few other songs off Sunflower. Can be very repetitive at times.
But it seems as if that people around here don't really care for the BB's efforts on Hard Rock, and it's those efforts that go early. Shame, I really like those efforts

The lyrical content of Dennis's music is really what does him in IMO. Brian's songs are so sensitive and sweet, while Dennis's expresses the ugly, dominating side of masculine sexuality. The protagonists of Brian's songs are the quiet guys afraid to ask girls out, while the protagonists of Dennis's songs wouldn't hesitate to force women into performing.

His music sounds just like the way he looked back in the 70s; hairy and really pretty greasy. Brian's style is just more appealing in the 21st century. Dennis was a man of his times -- macho to a fault. Brian "wasn't made for his times."

Quote
Sunflower is the sixteenth studio album by American rock group The Beach Boys, their first on Reprise Records. The album reached a respectable number 29 in the UK though only achieved number 151 on the US albums chart during a four week stay, becoming the lowest charting Beach Boys album until 1978's M.I.U. Album equalled it.
The album's critical reputation has grown since its original appearance; it is notable for the emergence of significant songwriting contributions by all members of the band.

Welcome back to the a new round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok  Grin).... and without further ado...

Bruce has tears this morning from finding out his song is the first to go..

VOTE OFF YOUR LEAST FAVORITE TRACK!!!

Tally on February 15th!!!
